MICROSim
The Project
The MICROSim platform, developed from EADS SPACE Infrastructure division, has been designed for giving engineers a powerful hardware tool in the design and verification process of small satellites especially in the field of attitude control. Thus the platform has been developed for small and medium sized companies working in the field of small and micro satellites as well as for student education and research tasks in an university environment.
MICROSim covers the orbit segment with a fully equipped microsatellite as well as the necessary ground segment both linked together via a TTC Unit. Orbit conditions can be simulated using the high precision 5 degree of freedom air bearing facility for rotatorical and translatorical motions.
