Assign a collar to an animal

There are two ways to assign a collar to an animal.

1. From the Devices menu, click Collars.

2. Choose one of the following methods.

Method A: Quick Assignment from Collars List

a. At the far right of the collar row, click the Actions menu ···.

b. Click Assign an animal to this collar.

Method B: Assignment from Properties Panel

a. Click the row of the collar you want to assign.

b. In the collar properties panel, click the Show details icon in the upper right corner.

c. Scroll down to the Deployments section and click Assign animal.

Complete the Assignment

4. In the dialog box, select an animal from the dropdown menu.

5. Select a species and enter a name.

6. Enter a deployment start date (the day you collared the animal).

7. Optional: If the deployment period has ended or has a known drop off date, check Close Deployment and enter a deployment end date.

8. Click Assign Animal.
