INVENTA Manuals
There are three ways to add a collar to your INVENTA account:
Please select one:
1. Ask an Owner or Device Manager to grant your INVENTA email address access to the collar
2. Connect a collar via VERTEX cable, Remote Stick or Bluetooth Stick to send a permission request
3. Upload the collar key file of your collar to send a permission request
Ask someone in your team with the necessary permissions in INVENTA to grant your account email address access to the collar by providing this instructions:
Manage user roles
If you have your collar available, you can simply establish a USB connection via cable or stick between the collar and your account in INVENTA Desktop to trigger a permission request.
This article describes how to set up a local collar to USB connection via VERTEX cable, USB Remote Stick or USB Bluetooth Stick:
Connecting a device (INVENTA Desktop only)
This triggers a permission request for authorized collars users and you have to wait until they have accepted your permission request as described in:
Accept permission request.
To add a new collar to your INVENTA account using a .keyx file, upload that .keyx file to trigger a permission request that must be approved by authorized collar users or VECTRONIC.
1. Open the ‘Devices‘ menu and select ‘Collars’
2. Click ‘+ Import collars‘ in the upper-right corner of the screen
3. When the dialog box opens, click Select Collar Keys
4. Choose your desired user role
5. Then click Confirm to send a permission request
Why do I need to send this permission request?
In addition to the key files, collar access is now directly approved by assigned collar owners or VECTRONIC. This keeps the data safe and ensures only authorized users are able to view all collar information. Learn more about user roles
Collar Owners and Device Managers will receive a notification via email and within INVENTA, allowing them to either accept or deny the request.
1. Click the bell icon
2. Decide whether you want to accept or deny the permission request
