Add a collar

To add a new collar, you first need to upload the corresponding key file in .keyx format and then send a permission request, which will be approved by the collar owner or VECTRONIC.

Send permission request

1. Open the ‘Devices‘ menu and select ‘Collars’
2. Click ‘+ Import collars‘ on the right side of the screen

3. When the dialog box opens, click Select Collar Keys

• In the file browser window, navigate to your collar key files, select them, click ‘Open‘ and review the list of selected collar keys.

4. Choose your desired user role
5. Then click Confirm to send a permission request

Why do I need to send this permission request?

In addition to the key files, collar access is now directly approved by assigned collar owners or VECTRONIC. This keeps the data safe and ensures only authorized users are able to view all collar information. Learn more about user roles

Accept permission request

Collar Owners and Device Managers will then receive a notification in their INVENTA account, allowing them to either accept or deny the permission request.
